How Our Network Works for Homeowners

Who You Talk To
After you reach out, you will speak with an independent provider from our network, not with Delayapproved Concrete staff doing the work. Delayapproved Concrete makes the introduction. The provider is a separate local business that visits your property, gives advice and writes the quote. Think of us as a friendly neighbor who hands you a contractor's card and says, "Ask them these questions."
What Happens on the First Conversation
The first talk is usually short. The provider asks what you want to build, roughly how big it is, and what the site looks like today. They may ask about slope, drainage, existing slabs and access for trucks. Then they usually suggest a visit to measure and look at the ground. Many providers can respond quickly, but availability varies, so ask about timing early.
What to Ask an Independent Provider
Good questions make the whole project calmer. Try these:
- How will you prepare the base, and how deep will it be?
- How will water drain away from the slab, especially in snowmelt season?
- What mix and finish do you suggest for our winters?
- How long before we can walk, park or place furniture on it?
- What is the written scope, and what could change the price?
- Do you handle permits, or do I?
For stamped finishes or larger concrete flatwork, ask to see examples of similar jobs.
Timing Questions Matter Most
Concrete is a bit like a cake in the oven. Opening the door too soon changes the result. Ask the provider what they plan for the first hours, the first week and the first month. A clear answer is a good sign.
You Are in Control
You choose whether to book a visit, request more estimates or wait. You can compare quotes side by side. Typical U.S. prices vary by job, so get every quote in writing and ask what is included. You can say no at any point.
